For over 100 years, Christie Lake Kids (CLK) has been committed to supporting children and youth from low-income families in Ottawa by providing free year-round programs, including after-school and summer camp opportunities for young people ages 6–17.
Our Board of Directors plays an important role in guiding CLK’s future and advancing our mission to offer quality programs that build skills and enrich lives. Made up of dedicated leaders from both the non-profit and for-profit sectors, our Board members provide strong governance while also serving as advocates and ambassadors for our organization.
We are currently recruiting for two volunteer Board positions:
- Treasurer – A financial leader who will help oversee CLK’s financial stewardship and chair our Finance and Audit Committee. This role requires a CPA designation.
- Fundraiser – A community-minded leader with strong networks and a passion for helping advance CLK’s fundraising efforts and sustainability.
About the Commitment
Board members serve a three-year term, with the possibility of extension. The Board meets six times per year online, along with an in-person Annual General Meeting. Members also participate on a Board subcommittee and are encouraged to attend key CLK fundraising events throughout the year.
This is an opportunity to share your expertise, strengthen your community connections, and help shape the future of an organization making a lasting impact on the lives of children and youth.
