Christie Lake Kids is excited to announce a new partnership with Giveroo, a face-to-face fundraising company helping us connect with more people in Ottawa who want to make a lasting difference in the lives of local children and youth.
Through a door-to-door campaign in Ottawa, Giveroo’s fundraising team is introducing residents to Christie Lake Kids, sharing our mission, and inviting them to become monthly donors. Giveroo is an Indigenous-owned fundraising agency based out of the Lheidli T’enneh Reserve in Prince George, BC. Giveroo, helps charities build high-quality, long-term monthly donor programs through ethical, relationship-driven fundraising.
Small Monthly Gifts. A Big Difference for Kids.
For more than 100 years, Christie Lake Kids has been creating opportunities for children and youth from low-income households to learn new skills, build confidence, form friendships and discover their potential. Our year-round programs and summer camp are offered at no cost to participating families, helping remove the financial barriers that can prevent kids from taking part in sports, recreation, arts and leadership opportunities.
But demand for our programs continues to grow, and we want to reach even more children who could benefit. That’s where monthly donors make a difference.
Monthly giving provides reliable, ongoing support that helps Christie Lake Kids plan for the future, respond to growing demand and create more opportunities for children and youth. Monthly donors help us provide sustainable funding that allows us to purchase food, program supplies and equipment to ensure that our programs stay free and provide long-term support for children and youth.
Helping Us Say Yes to More Kids
This partnership comes at an exciting time as we work to grow our Say Yes to More Kids campaign. Our goal is to raise $220,000 to create 300 additional program spots, increasing our capacity from approximately 1,200 to 1,500 spots in the coming year.
Every new monthly donor brings us closer to that goal. Together, we can say yes to more children discovering a love of sport, yes to young people developing leadership skills, yes to new friendships, and yes to the confidence and sense of belonging that come from being part of something special.
