After reaching new heights, both physically and philanthropically, on Mount Kilimanjaro in 2023, pushing past personal limits while raising nearly $50,000 for Christie Lake Kids, we’re heading back to the mountains and setting our sights on the next adventure
Christie Lake Kids is excited to announce the next Climb for Kids adventure — the Peaks of the Balkans in summer 2027.
The Peaks of the Balkans Trail is a spectacular 192-kilometre alpine circuit winding through the dramatic mountain landscapes of Albania, Montenegro, and Kosovo. Crossing high mountain passes, remote valleys, and traditional villages at elevations reaching up to 2,300 metres above sea level, this trek offers a rare opportunity to explore one of Europe’s most breathtaking and less-travelled regions.
This will be the fourth Climb for Kids international excursion. Past adventures have taken participants to:
Machu Picchu, Peru

The iconic Tour du Mont Blanc through France, Switzerland, and Italy

And most recently, to the summit of Kilimanjaro

Climb for Kids is more than an adventure, it’s a life-changing experience that combines challenge, camaraderie, and purpose. Every step supports Christie Lake Kids and helps create brighter futures for children and youth from low-income households in our community.
If you’ve ever dreamed of adventure travel with impact, this is your moment.
More details including trip dates, travel details, and hiking circuit will be announced soon. Visit Climb for Kids 2027 for more information.
