We’re thrilled to share that Christie Lake Kids received the Outstanding Volunteer Program Award at the VOscars Volunteer Awards Gala on October 23.

We are extremely honoured to receive this recognition. Volunteers are key members of Team Christie Lake Kids and our Volunteer Coordinator, Geisel Portales, plays a central role in ensuring every volunteer feels supported and celebrated for their contributions. Our volunteer program coordinates more than 300 volunteers who help deliver free skill-building opportunities for local children and youth from low-income households.

The Outstanding Volunteer Program Award, presented by Volunteer Ottawa, recognizes an organization in the Ottawa region that has built a successful, thriving volunteer program based on excellence in volunteer management principles and practices.
