Three weeks ago, Christie Lake Kids launched its inaugural intergenerational program in collaboration with Perley Health.

Tonight, I had the pleasure of joining the group for an enriching evening filled with engaging conversations, captivating storytelling, and uplifting songs! The program began with personalized check-ins between Perley tenants and youth, using flash cards as prompts for enjoyable and educational discussions.

Our musical journey followed, featuring renditions of beloved classics such as “Country Roads,” “Leaving on a Jet Plane,” “Imagine,” and “Yellow Submarine.”

To end the evening, we gathered for a shared meal in the cafeteria, fostering an atmosphere of joy, laughter, and the exchange of stories.

Collaborating with Perley Health has truly been an extraordinary experience, and I left the evening feeling privileged to have shared such a heartwarming time with this remarkable group of individuals. ☺️❤️
